IT Design and Implementation of the Second IEP Depot1 min read

The Intercity Express Programme (IEP) is an initiative of the Department for Transport (DfT) in the United Kingdom, to procure new trains to replace the InterCity 125 fleet on the East Coast Main Line and Great Western Main Line. They will also be replacing other trainsets on long distance services from London to places including Cambridge, Oxford, Hull and Weston-super-Mare.

We are proud to announce that following our successful completion of the North Pole Depot last year we have now just completed the IT design and implementation of the second IEP Depot. The site is based in Swansea and our work consisted of implementing everything from the WiFi technology both internally and externally, to the computer room servers, specialist equipment interfacing, VOIP, and the audio visual equipment.

Lanmark’s PTS and CSCS trained engineers worked tirelessly to complete the work and are pleased to have delivered the project on time and within budget. We are now starting the same work for the completion of the last of the West Coast Depots which we are confident will be delivered with the same high standard already set. Steve Winchcombe and Mark Brown have also completed the design for the East Coast Depots, we are now in the procurement stage ready to start work early next year.

COVID-19 : Lanmark is fully operational during this time.
